Number info:
For this section you are able to specify different setting specifically to the DID you’re going to purchase
Description: name you can assign to your DID, this will have no effect on the DID other than giving it a label to help differentiate it from other of your purchased numbers -- This setting is optional.
Record Calls: Option to record calls - please note that this option will soon be obsoleted as it is being transitioned to our Hosted PBX service. - This setting is optional
Call Screening: Here you are able to prompt an IVR that will ask for the person calling to state their name. - This setting is optional and might interfere with your call flows (since call will already be picked up at the time it reaches its final destination)
Cnam: Valid for US, Canada, Australia and the UK - when a call comes in, the system will attempt to identify the name of the caller and present it on your phone screen (if call is being forwarded to you via SIP or to your Hosted PBX instance). - Please note that choosing this option will incur charges on your account (typically $0.004/call)
Forward Destination: Menu to select where you would like your call to be routed to. Options include a Hosted PBX, SIP URI, Dial number, Conference to name a few
URI profile: - here you can choose a predetermined URI (which can be configured here: https://www.multitel.net/auth/setting ) and upon choosing it, the URI, URI2 and URI3 fields will be filled in. Please note that going through the set up of the URI profile is optional.
URI: This is where this number should ring to. If the Forward Destination is set to “Dial” , please provide the phone number where the call is to be forwarded to here (please use the full number, including country code). If forwarding the call to a SIP destination, provide it in this form: account@sipserver . Do not specify a protocol in front of the URI (sip: or SIP: is not required). If you’re using a different port than standard, you can add it at the end of the URI: account@sipserver:5090
URI2: same as above
URI3: same as above
